Do you moisturize your cuticles regularly? How about pushing your cuticles back … is it something you do every time you do your nails or only when you go to a salon to get a manicure? Whether you’ve previously pushed your cuticles back every week or every two months, I’m going to give you a natural trick that’s easy and quick. I’ll also explain the importance of pushing your cuticles back, especially before applying Jamberry Nail Wraps or just painting your nails in general.

3 Reasons Why Pushing Your Cuticles Back Helps Your Nails for Jamberry Nail Wraps
1. Prevents your Jamberry Nail Wraps from lifting or rippling. Pushing your cuticles back makes it easier to put on your Jamberry Nail Wraps without the wrap touching your cuticles. If your nail wraps touch your cuticles, it won’t be completely smooth and can cause rippling or lifting.
2. Gives you longer-lasting nail wraps since your nail wrap will be able to be the same as your nail length and the regrowth will show less. You can wear your nail wrap for up to two weeks … or if you’re like my friend Gracie, you may even be able to wear it for 5 weeks and still have it look great!
3. Makes the nail wraps look even prettier on your fingers.

Great post. When I am preparing my nails for a gel nail color, I use Vaseline to condition my cuticles. In your opinion, is there a much higher benefit with coconut oil?

Another important thing that one should be aware of is that the best time to push back your cuticles is right when you get out of the shower. This insures the cuticles will be clean as well as softer and easier to work with.
